I'll keep doing these posts for a while. Hopefully, if I mention enough names someone might actually add to the posting 😉 . Anyway ....
Not sure if anyone was fooled by the sunshine - it was a bit fresh this morning!
The group I was in today comprised full members Bob (BMW F800) and Chris S (CB1000R), and new member Nigel (FMX650).
Bob led us through the city, always worth a practice even early on a Sunday morning, and then out to Buxton. Thank you to Bob for volunteering to do the least interesting part of the ride.
Chris then gave an excellent demonstration of a full member leading a group for the benefit and encouragement of a new member, by delivering a ride with controlled pace and consideration to keeping the group together.
Nigel's ride showed that he is a competent rider who is willing to listen to, and ready to consider, feedback and advice. His enthusiasm is refreshing! Does a black cat sat in the middle of the road count as lucky or unluckly? 😮 . Nigel was faced with such a situation as we rode through a village on the coast road. Luckily for the cat it decided to move as we approached! 🙂
Fortunately, my demo ride was uneventful and we arrived at Wroxham barns just in time to join the queue for coffee and cake - which was worth the wait.
Thanks to duty observer Chris D, who was in control of getting somewhere in the region of 20 riders off in time. Another good turn out!
